ISO 45001 Approved, Anticipate Publication in March 2018
Voting members of ISO/PC 283 have overwhelmingly approved the proposed ISO 45001 standard, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. According to ISO, 93% of members voted in favor of the global standard; ISO policy requires slightly more than 66% favorable votes to approve a standard.
ASSE is administrator of the U.S. technical advisory group (TAG) to ANSI for this standard.
“Congratulations to all members of the U.S. TAG for their efforts and dedication over the past few years to get this standard approved,” says Tim Fisher, ASSE’s director of technical services and standards. “Special thanks and recognition to Vic Toy and Kathy Seabrook for their TAG leadership along with ASSE’s delegates Jim Howe, Ken Clayman and Todd Hohn.”
